‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers indicate that Nate Hasting (Sean Dominic) only has his ambitious goals in mind. He doesn’t care about building trusting relationships with the Newman family members, which really indicates that he doesn’t care all that much about Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). Her family is right, in that he is keeping up his relationship with her to get what he wants.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Pursing the CEO
Victoria is the CEO of Newman Enterprises. She is ambitious and savvy. Nate has been attracted to that aspect of her character. He also knows that he wants to have an important role in the company and that Victoria is the way to get there.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) trusts Victoria and believes that she makes great decisions. He knows that she will always put the company first. Even though he may not feel completely sure about Nate, he really does believe that Victoria will make the best decisions.
Nate knows exactly how to get what he wants, and it involves keeping Victoria begging for more of him. When he makes a mistake and keeps some information about Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) from Victoria, he upsets her. He knows that she has lost a little trust in him, and he tells Audra that he will never to that again. He has to keep Victoria happy always.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Won’t Step Down
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) doesn’t trust Nate at all. He believes that he is just getting it on with Victoria to climb the corporate ladder at Newman. Nick things that Nate is dangerous because he betrayed his own family at Chancellor-Winters and he also betrayed his girlfriend Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy). He thinks with all of that lying and cheating, Nate is not far from hurting his sister.
When Nick is asked to take a leave of absence at Newman Enterprises and he hears that Nate is going to be offered his spot, he confronts Nate. Nate wants to know what it will take to be able to convince Nick to trust him. Nick suggests that he turn down the position at Newman. That’s unacceptable to Nate, and he moves on up, justifying himself all along the way.
Nikki Newman (Melody Scott Thomas) makes that very direct statement to Victor. She tells him that he should ask Nate to step down. She says this in Nate’s presence. When Victor walks out, Nate asks her how he can gain her trust. She says the same as Nick. She thinks he should step down and that would prove that it is not all about the company for him. Again, he refuses.
What do you think? Are Nate’s days at Newman Enterprises numbered? Nikki doesn’t like him much and she is very influential with her husband. Is Nate going to get the boot and if he does, will Victoria stand for it or will she go to battle with her father?
