When Ashley is getting ready to head out the door to the Genoa City Gala, she is met by Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John). Tucker wants to take her to the gala. She was going alone, but he wants to escort her.
When her brother Jack comes down the stairs, he is unpleasantly surprised to see Tucker at the door. He makes as many disparaging comments as he can and tells Ashley that she should be ready to see Mamie Johnson (Veronica Redd) at the event.
When she sees Mamie again, she had better not be with Tucker McCall. This animosity from Jack has the exact opposite result. She gives permission for Tucker to take her to the gala, just to throw that in her brother’s face.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Getting Flack from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)
At the gala, Victor approaches Ashley and Tucker. He is not very friendly and welcoming. While this is supposed to be an enjoyable community event, he immediately brings up business.
He challenges Ashley right away about her purchase of Tucker’s debt and what she plans to do.
Ashley looks uncomfortable at first but then this makes her immediately dismissive of anything that Victor wants to say. Ashley doesn’t respond well to criticism, and it would be best if the men in her life could understand this.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Tucker is Learning
Maybe the only man who is beginning to understand Ashley better is Tucker. She is only responding well if he is submissive and does what she requires.
When he pushes back or asks too many questions, she does not respond positively. Tucker may be starting to comprehend what really makes Ashley tick.
