‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that despite being “super pregnant” as Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson) herself says, she’s still working! She shared a video on Instagram of herself walking down a hallway at CBS with her ‘The Young and the Restless’ badge on.
Many were wondering when she would be going on maternity leave and at this point, it looks like she’s about ready to pop any minute! Can’t believe she’s still working at this point, but we’re glad she is! We enjoy seeing her on-screen and it’ll feel weird once she’s gone for a bit.

So, what do you think they’re going to do with her character once she does go on maternity leave? Things to be going okay for Chelsea and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) backed her up when he was speaking to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) about her visit. So, we can’t assume she’ll be staying in the institution forever will she?
I can only think that maybe she earned herself a little away time with her son or that her character will be visiting her mom after her accident for awhile to help keep an eye on her and help her out.
Either way, we’re glad to see Egan looking fabulous and working her butt off! We can’t wait to see the newborn baby and good luck on maternity leave.
