‘The Young And The Restless (Y&R)’ spoilers show that thanks to help from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) was able to record a confession from her grandfather Sutton Ames (Jack Landron) admitting that he killed her father.
Victor has taunted around a “letter” that would expose Sutton, but the trick was, there was never a letter! It was a sly trick from Victor and one that he trapped Sutton in perfectly. Though the question remains, why did he do it?
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: What’s In It For Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)? Why’d He Agree To Help Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan)?
We’ve seen moments when Victor has had a soft heart, but I think this has more to do with business than anything. Not saying he didn’t respect Amanda and want to help her, but I think his true motivation came knowing that Sutton’s businesses would probably fall apart and it’d be one less competitor.
I probably missed it, but I’m not even entirely sure what Sutton’s business was, but he and Victor spoke about their dealings in the past.
If not business-related, what were Victor’s reasons for wanting to take part in this? Did he enjoy Amanda’s father when he was still around and wanted to do right by his daughter? Did he know Sutton was guilty already and just felt like he had to do it or does he want to earn the respect of an excellent lawyer like Amanda Sinclair should a court battle come up with Newman Enterprises and his role in the company?
What do you think? Why did Victor choose to dedicate some time to helping Amanda and do you think there was an ulterior motive? Let us know in the comments below.
