‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Lauralee Bell, who plays Christine Blair, and Michael Damian, who plays Danny Romalotti, are discussing their characters’ long-awaited wedding.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Danny and Christine’s First Wedding Was in November 1990
Christine and Danny head to the altar in a two-part wedding special airing on the Friday, November 21st episode of Y&R, then continuing into the Monday, November 24th episode.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a soap wedding without the drama, and Y&R plans to deliver. That is the reason for the cliffhanger on Friday, November 21st.
Danny and Christine were first married in November 1990. The first ceremony was a destination wedding in Hawaii.
While their marriage lasted only a few years, the two remained in each other’s orbit, and eventually they found their way back to each other.
Danny popped the question this past July, and she responded with a resounding and excited “Yes.” They started planning their nuptials immediately.
The preparations began in September, when an online contest had Y&R fans vote on the wedding dress they wanted Christine to wear on her big day.
“For the people who really have waited a long, long time for us to get married, I just thought, ‘Of course, watching the shows will be fun, but wouldn’t it be great if they could feel like they have some say?”
Bell explained.

The actress kept the winner a secret until it was time. Of course, the chosen wedding dress looks fantastic on her.
Bell spoke about being a bit timid about being the center of attention when her character, Christine, is married,
“It was weird. I get shy when all the attention is on me.”
Apparently, the wedding brings back some beloved characters. Danny’s sister, Gina Roma (Patty Weaver), and Christine’s BFF, Nina Webster (Tricia Cast), both attend the ceremony.
Their presence is significant to the show’s history. Bell expressed her joy over their returns,
“There’s something to be said when we’re saying our vows, and out of the corner of my eye, I see Patty Weaver looking at us with those eyes and knowing that Christian LeBlanc is between us, and Trish and Tracey Bregman are just to my right.”
Bell continued,
“These are people who have gone through this whole show journey with you. We all look at each other, and it’s such a comfort that you don’t worry about anything. You know that you’re in safe hands.”
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Bell Knows Fans Who Waited Over 30 Years for Danny and Christine to Marry Again Won’t Be Disappointed
She added,
“That bond is pretty significant; there are a lot of things that tie us all together.”
While filming, Bell thought about her father, William J. Bell, who created the show.
Bell knows how much her late father would have loved to be there for Christine and Danny’s big day. She said,
“I actually felt like I saw him for a hot second, which was cool.”
That said, the wedding won’t go off without a hitch. Expect Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) to show up and stir up some trouble.
Bell also thought about the devoted fans of Danny and Christine. She said, “For some of them to have spent over 30 years wondering if we’ll ever get married again and then it’s finally here, I felt a little bit of pressure, I’m not gonna lie.”
She concludes,
“You don’t want people who have so kindly rooted for this on and waited to be disappointed in any way. But I left those days feeling fulfilled and knew their hearts would be full after both those episodes. I thank them for still caring after all this time.”
