‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggests that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) may just have been putting Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) through a test. Apparently, she passed, but what will that change anything for her?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: The Proposal
Victor asked Sally to meet with him. He offered to set her up in business anywhere in the world that she wanted. However, she has to leave her daughter behind.
Her daughter will be raised at the Newman ranch. As a Newman, her daughter will want for nothing and will be well cared for. She will be surrounded by a loving family.
The proposal hurts and disgusts Sally. Victor’s offer reminds her how little he thinks of her and how he doesn’t like her influence on his sons.
Victor could offer her all of the money in the world, and she won’t let go of her daughter. She is excited about being a mother. Sally won’t let anything stand in the way of giving her child the upbringing she didn’t have herself.
Sally tells both Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow) about Victor’s proposal. They both are angry and want to go pick a fight with him, but she wants to fight her own battles. She asks them not to get involved but let her handle Victor on her own.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: The Test?
Although Adam and Nick don’t immediately race off to confront their father and “save” Sally, they do both speak to him about the situation when they have the chance. They both say that they know this was just one of his tests.
They suggest that Victor made this inappropriate offer to Sally just to see what she is made of as a person. If she took the money and ran, then he would know that she is the terrible woman that he thought she was.
Both brothers tell Victor that Sally “passed” the test that he gave her. He doesn’t confirm or deny whether this was a test. They both believe it was the case. Victor still doesn’t seem to be pleased with Sally and the hold she has on his sons.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Shutting Her Out
It also seems that Victor may have interfered again by talking to Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) because she put Sally on hold in regard to their business agreement.
He had talked to her before, and Nick Newman stepped in to help Sally get an interview with Jill after all. Now Jill is backpedaling again, which suggests that Victor was involved.
That may come back to bite him though. Since she has no job prospects, Adam has offered Sally a position at the newly acquired McCall Unlimited that his father bought for him to run. Victor won’t be getting rid of Sally anytime soon.
What do you think of Victor’s moves? Was this just a test or is he really trying to get rid of Sally? Leave your thoughts below.
