‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveals that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) may have lost way too much of his edge in his old age. His moves, though predictable to some, aren’t going to achieve his goals at all.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Improper Proposition
Victor doesn’t like Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). He likes her even less that she has managed to snag the hearts of his sons, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow). Both of them love Sally and Victor isn’t happy about it.
He has tried to get her to leave town before, but his tactics have not worked. Now he has the news that she is pregnant with his granddaughter. Sally is in a relationship with Nick, but the baby is actually Adam’s.
So, she has really ingrained herself with the Newman family. That’s what makes Victor so unhappy.
Victor decides that he needs to make Sally an offer that she can’t refuse. He tells her that her baby can grow up with the Newmans and will have everything she needs and wants.
Then, he will pay for Sally to start up a new business venture anywhere in the world. He says he knows how ambitious she is, and he will make sure she has a great start anywhere and that her daughter is completely provided for.
Victor only knows the Sally of her youth and doesn’t understand that she is not motivated by money and success. She is excited to become a mother and no amount of money will take her away from her child.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Dissension
Victor doesn’t seem to realize that these schemes infuriate his sons. They become angered and it drives a wedge between him and his children. For a man who is “all about family”, he doesn’t seem to know how to best navigate family relationships.
Neither Adam or Nick have confronted Victor yet, but it is sure to come. What will his terrible treatment of Sally mean for his future relationship with Adam and Nick? What will it mean for them to stand up for her and her child against their father? Share your thoughts!
