‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that more and more, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is falling for Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). The previous Jack wouldn’t have agreed to aid Diane in robbing Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), but the current Jack has fallen far enough to agree with the plan.
Jack finds it intolerable to consider Diane being in Jeremy Stark’s (James Hyde) possession in any way. Given that Jeremy is such a wild card, it is advisable to keep him away from Diane and her loved ones. The idea is for Diane to steal from Nikki in order to impress Jeremy and then position him to be held accountable for a subsequent crime.
However, if Jack and Diane aren’t careful, their plan could go horribly wrong. Even if Diane pulls this off and avoids being caught for the theft, Jeremy might not be satisfied. What if Jeremy is unimpressed and urges Diane to take on a more risky task? Jack may assist Diane with a shovel while she continues to dig a deeper hole for herself.

Jack and Diane are obviously in this together, thus Y&R spoilers indicate they could do anything to demonstrate that. Could it happen that Diane and Jack come to recognize that the walls are closing in? Will Jack decide to wed Diane quickly in order to avoid having to testify against her?
Jack might eventually confess that he wants this union and make a proposal. The sudden marriage of Diane and Jack would undoubtedly surprise everyone, notably Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Jack appears to be willing to go to any lengths, including getting married to Diane, in order to protect her.
This might prevent Jack from being forced to testify against Diane, but it also might just be Jack’s way of letting Diane know he’s all in. In any case, fans are aware that Jack has been searching for love for a very long time, so he might decide Diane is the one for him.
