‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal that a lot of fans are rooting for Victor Newman (Eric Braden) to finally lose everything for good, while others believe the character is too iconic to go down.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Victor Recently Lost His Company to Phyllis
Victor recently lost his company, Newman Media, to Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Not to mention, Chancellor is now in the hands of Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).

Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) and Phyllis initially teamed up to take over Victor’s empire, but Victor “kidnapped” Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and the twins. He’s using them as leverage to coerce Cane into returning Newman to him.
Cane told Phyllis that he had to give the company back to Victor. Now Cane is working to bring down Phyllis for double-crossing him.
She chloroformed Cane to knock him out long enough to transfer ownership of Newman to herself. While that was happening, Billy distracted the Newmans. When Cane finally came to, he realized that he had been played.
Truthfully, Victor and the Newmans wouldn’t be in this mess had Victor not used Cane’s AI program to eviscerate Cane’s company, Arabesque, which he had built from the ground up with his father.

Then, Victor betrayed Phyllis, who stole the AI software and gave it to Victor. In exchange, he had promised her she would get Jabot.
Victor basically stabbed Phyllis in the back and reneged on their deal. So, Phyllis decided to join forces with Cane to take control of Victor’s company. And now here we are.
This may be Victor’s karma after years of unethical business practices, bullying people to get what he wants, and especially his poor treatment of others, like Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
The Newman family has spent years on top, and now they are whining and carrying on like they are victims. The level of entitlement they feel about themselves is unreal.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: The Newman Family Is Running Around Town Whining Like Victims
While Phyllis didn’t exactly do right by Cane by betraying him, she may be onto something when she says Victor needs to go down. It’s about bloody time someone points that out.
Victor has never felt what it’s like to lose, and now that he has, he’s kidnapped a family, threatening people, and is generally playing dirty. Classic Victor Newman.
Victor’s spoiled spawn, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), is also running around and whining to whoever will listen that they need to reclaim their family company for Daddy’s legacy. It’s practically nauseating.

Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is basically crucifying Phyllis and turning her kids against her. What about what Victor has done to others?
Plus, his vendetta against Jack has always rubbed us the wrong way. Yes, it’s one of the longest, greatest rivalries in soap history, but enough already!
Poor Jack was of great help to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) by putting his life on the line to convince her to go to rehab.

He and Nikki spent the night at the GCAC, as Nikki was basically drinking herself to death, and Jack put a stop to it. As a former addict, he relapsed on pain pills to save Nikki.
Victor doesn’t see it that way. The only reason he saw the situation as Jack almost killing his wife is that he hates Jack. And Jack hates Victor with the passion of a thousand suns.
It’s not fun to watch someone constantly behave like a jerk and win every time. Victor may need to lose this time for good. However, we all know Josh Griffith would never write that story. It’s the story many fans want to see.
