‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggest that it has been an intoxicating beginning for the new leadership at Newman, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver).
They are thoroughly addicted to big power plays, and they are not going to relinquish the power that they have been given. Move over Newman family, you’ve been ousted!
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Newman Enterprises
Y&R’s Nate is in the role of COO of Newman Enterprises right now thanks to his current squeeze, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). She has fallen for him, hook, line and sinker and she isn’t afraid to defend her choices.
When her brother said that he didn’t trust Nate and worried Victoria would be taken advantage of again, she bristled. She realized she wanted Nate around more than she wanted her brother.
Victoria saw her opening. She decided Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) needed a break from work. His world imploded with the return of Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) and the loss of Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) baby.
Victoria argued Nick needed to give attention to his personal life. Her mother, Nikki Newman (Melody Scott Thomas), said she should ask Nick if he would like to take leave.
Victoria did ask—at first. When Nick said he would rather work and keep his mind off of his problems, she quickly changed gears. She forced him to step down for a time, saying it was in his best interest.
Then she gave Nate the “temporary” position. Immediately Nick suspected Nate of orchestrating this and told him the way that Nate could prove his trustworthiness would be to turn down the position. But of course, Nate would never do that.
Nate is having a great time in the big chair. He never plans to leave it. What is the Newman family going to do about this or will they be able to do anything?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Newman Media
Y&R’s Audra was given the role of CEO of Newman Media when Nate took Nick’s job. She is also feeling like this job fits her like a glove. She is making big deals and has interesting plans in the works.
Audra is also not going to be satisfied if this is “temporary.” It’s already hers and she is not going to just step down out of this role.
Victoria has quickly created a monster in her family’s company. She has promoted two people temporarily who are out to take it all. They don’t have business ethics and they are out for power for themselves.
How is Victoria going to react when they won’t go and when they want something even bigger? Will she be able to go up against her folks to give Nate and Audra what they want? How will this end?
