‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that it’s not only the fans that are wondering where Doug Davidson (Paul Williams) has been but the cast as well! Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) called out today on Twitter saying that he thinks it’s ‘utterly wrong’ that Doug hasn’t been involved in storylines.

Take a look at Braeden’s comment below where he said he’s been in Davidson’s corner for years.

“I have been in DOUGIE DAVIDSON’S CORNER FOR YEARS! I think it is utterly wrong that he isn’t involved in story lines! He is one of the all time favorites on our soap and should bloody well be an important part of it!!!”

This comes in response to a Tweet where someone wrote “#YR Doug Davidson might be returning. Several vets have gone to bat for him.” Several fans began questioning the legitimacy of the claim. That was until Braeden himself chimed in.

Other fans commented on Braeden’s response, “It’s a terrible way to treat a Y&R veteran, we all have come to love these characters and it’s a slap in our faces too to dismiss those we have come to see as friends.”, “I agree that Doug Davidson should be on screen. Obviously Y&R can’t be relied on. Doug is a long standing favorite. Come on Y&R what’s the problem?” and “We need doug/Paul back. The fact that Rey is investigating and threating a suspect on his own poisoning is ridiculous, also add the fact the suspect has a relationship with his wife and sharon is aiding and abetting…. Writers are out of touch.”

What do you think? Is Doug Davidson going to be back on soon? Let us know in the comments below.
