‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Eric Braeden (Victor Newman), the man, the myth, the legend had knee replacement surgery. Aside from the fact that hospital cuisine, notoriously suspect as it is, made him more enthusiastic about graham crackers and applesauce than he may have otherwise been, his rehabilitation was going really well. He even started working out again after being released, stating earlier this week that “sitting doesn’t pain the knee! One can always get some exercise!
Unfortunately, Victor’s portrayer’s real-life narrative takes a turn that, at least initially, does not lead to “And they all lived happily ever after.” The Emmy winner returned to Twitter three days after the last tweet to make a confession. “I have an admission to make. As you all know, I was making great progress! And then last night, I stupidly overdid it by doing little squats!”
I have an admission to make: as you all know I was making great progress! AND THEN LAST NIGHT I STUPIDLY OVERDID IT BY DOING LITTLE SQUATS! Well, the result of that foolishness is in: knee is swollen again SO, DO NOT PUSH TO HARD WHEN RECOVERING FROM KNEE SURGERY! It’s STUPID!!

‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) Foolishly Hurts His Knee After Surgery Doing This!
It turns out it was not the best idea ever. “Well, the result of that foolishness is in: Knee is swollen again, so do not push too hard when recovering from knee surgery! It’s stupid!” Fans and viewers reacted to his tweet saying, “Man. I could have advised you on that. I didn’t do weighted squats until my doctor said I was good to do them after my MCL injury.”, “I have arthritis in both knees. I am hoping I will not need knee surgery in the future. I am doing what my former trainer told me to do and my doctor said losing weight will help but not heal the cartilage” and “Ohh Nooooo!!! We sometimes have to live to learn! I did the same kinda with my first neck surgery n still trying to recover from the second right now. PLEASE take care n be more patient w/everything!”
