‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that the writers did what I never thought they would do. Say what you want about the character Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), whether he was your favorite or you thought he was a dull character, do you really think they handled his death well?

Over and over the last few days we’ve been speculating that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) would get into a car accident with Rey, and while they initially threw us off the trail with Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) being involved, they circled back to it in the end of the episode today.

‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Did They Seriously Kill Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) Off-Screen?

Not only was Rey involved in a three car crash, but he was the only one to die and they did it OFF SCREEN! The disrespect is unreal. Don’t tell me they couldn’t have shown us Jordi, or gave us a final send off either. Sure, we saw him say goodbye in Crimson Lights last week, but seriously? They killed the guy OFF SCREEN.

Rey was married to a central character of the story. His brother and sister had been in Genoa City for a while. He just got his partner back, and they couldn’t even have the decency to show him onscreen again?

If tomorrow we go through the entire episode and all we get is the characters TALKING about him as if he’s there, but we don’t get to see him again, It’s going to be very disappointing. I hate how they handled this character death. Of course, I’m sure sometime in the future we’ll be seeing him pop up in a Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) dream or something, but is that really a proper send off?

Come on ‘The Young and the Restless’, Rey was a solid dude and a character that didn’t get enough of a story. You never gave his character room to breathe, then you kill him off screen and all we get is the news from Ashland Locke or all people.
