‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that the altercation between Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) may finally be coming to a standstill, and the long-running battle between the two could have been solved in less than a few minutes at Society.
Diane decided to take a stroll to the restaurant for some food, however, as she walked in she was instantly berated by Ashley, who was ridiculing and mocking her for being such a bad person.
To further make her point, she threw a grape into her mouth, trying to add an exclamation point to her exchange. However, things took a dark turn when she suddenly began choking.

Rather than letting her biggest enemy die in front of her eyes, Diane sprung into action and began giving Ashley the Heimlich maneuver to unclog her throat, so she could breathe again. It was quite the moment, and one that we felt truly showed us Diane’s true colors and who she was.
Not only has everyone been questioning her sincerity since she returned, but many fans and viewers were suspicious of her still.
However, after saving Ashley, her arch nemesis, it appears that she may have actually proved to everyone that she is here to make a better life… Ashley included. This has royally messed with Ashley, who didn’t know what to do or think and immediately went to go see Tucker McCall () and told him about the interesting moment.
After years of fighting and the hostility that Diane has been experiencing around town, could that really be coming to an end now that Diane saved her life, or is this just a small hiccup in their feud, and will Ashley soon realize that she does not care that Diane saved her and continue to make her life a living hell?
Diane has much more to prove to several residents around the city, and while she has Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) on her side still, this could have been a huge moment for her and building up relationships around town.
