‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers confirm that next week on Y&R, Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) is poisoned. Will Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) try to take out his romantic rival?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Damian Is Seen Drinking With Cane Before He Is Poisoned
Y&R’s promo for the week of July 14th to 18th shows that Damian will be poisoned. We don’t know yet if he succumbs to his death, but he does accuse Cane of trying to kill him.
It looks like Damain is seen drinking with Cane, and he’ll start to lose consciousness. Damian wonders if it’s all Cane’s doing since he still loves Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).
However, Cane argues that he’s drinking from the same bottle as Damian and points out that he wouldn’t try to “take himself out, too.”

Apparently, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) starts to question Cane’s party guests. Lily asks Chance if he’s “calling this a murder,” and he admits that’s exactly what this is. Chance insists on interrogating each partygoer about their activities in the past hour or so.
We have to wonder if this is part of the “murder mystery extravaganza” Joshua Morrow, who plays Nick Newman on the soap, was referring to.
However, the promo also reveals that this won’t be the only investigation that Chance launches in France.

Chance will also question everyone about a stabbing. We’re not sure which incident will prove fatal, but Y&R spoilers point to one of the two of them resulting in a death.
Perhaps someone tries to cover their tracks, and the good cop gets too close to the truth. We know that Conner Floyd will soon leave Y&R to join Days of Our Lives as Chad DiMera.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Cane Told Chance Someone Would Try To Kill Him
Ironically, it’s the same role that Billy Flynn held prior to coming to Y&R as Cane Ashby. Chance could very well be a goner since he’s also investigating Cane’s claims that someone wants to kill him.
Are Cane’s claims false, and is this all an elaborate setup? We don’t necessarily believe Cane is a murderer, but anything is possible.
Another possibility is that whoever is trying to kill Cane accidentally takes Damian out instead. We also recall that prior to saying goodbye to his mother, Amy Lewis, in Genoa City, Amy felt a chill go down her spine after she hugged her son goodbye.

These types of comments don’t simply appear on soaps for no reason. Plus, there was that incident on the train car when Damain found the knife and picked it up, leaving his fingerprints on it.
Perhaps Cane’s true agenda was to frame Damian and clear the way for Lily. Cane made it very clear that he didn’t appreciate Damian’s newfound relationship with his ex-wife.
It would be a significant tragedy for several reasons. The first, of course, was that Damian and Amy were only recently reunited after being separated for years.
Also, Lily was not only warming up to Damian, but in the Thursday, July 10th, episode of Y&R, it looks like they take their relationship to the next level. Remember, Cane was none too pleased to see the two of them kissing.
