‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers confirm that Y&R has cast Catherine Kresge as Detective Annie Stewart, a key player in Noah Newman’s (Lucas Adams) LA mystery.

The LA noir storyline has already introduced some new characters. Tamara Braun plays Sienna Bacall, a Hollywood club owner.
She’s a bada** and has a very cool attitude. She clearly doesn’t want any heat thrown at her club, The Shadow Room.
However, Nick will soon get more help from the LAPD, which could make Sienna a bit nervous if she had anything to do with Noah’s crash.
Braun recently revealed on Instagram last week that Roger Howarth is set to play Sienna’s husband, Mitch Bacall.
Rumors are swirling that Mitch may have had something to do with Noah’s accident. Matt Cohen plays Detective Burrow.
He’s shady and is keeping secrets from Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) about their son’s accident.
Adams and Howarth will make their soap debuts very soon. Kresage will make her debut on November 20th. She’ll play an integral role in solving Noah’s case.
Kresage isn’t exactly new to soaps, but this will be her most significant role to date. In 2011, she appeared on the now-defunct soap opera All My Children as Sienna. She was Bianca Montgomery’s (Eden Riegel) date.
In 2024, the actress appeared on General Hospital as Dr. Sawyer, the physician from Beecher’s Corners who met with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and Hamilton Finn (Michel Easton) as they tried to clear Finn of malpractice charges.

Detective Stewart is set to appear in several episodes of Y&R as the LAPD tries to crack Noah’s case. She’ll step in and actually want to help the Newmans, unlike Detective Burrow. She’ll question witnesses, collect evidence, and create a timeline.
In other words, she’ll actually do her job. Kresage’s recurring role is bound to make Sienna and Mitch very nervous over the consequences that may arise for their club. Detective Stewart could also expose them as being connected to the accident.
Nick and Sharon are currently in LA to sit vigil by Noah’s bedside as he’s in a medically induced coma and recovering from the car crash.
This week, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) joined them in LA to check on Noah’s condition.
The LA arc will be part of an even bigger story involving a mystery. Detective Stewart should make some bombshell discoveries regarding the case.
Detective Burrow is clearly of no use to Noah’s parents, but Detective Stewart may be a lot more helpful to the Newmans.
Some of the actress’s other credits include 90210, S.W.A.T., NCIS: Hawaii, House, That ’70s Show, The O.C., Chicago Med, and 9-1-1: Lone Star. She’s also appeared in numerous commercials for famous brands.
Kresge’s role is said to be recurring. She may be the one to provide clarity and answer the Newman family’s questions.
However, the big reveal is said to lead the Newmans toward danger. The mystery is about to grow as fans should prepare for several twists and turns in Noah’s story.
