‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggests that the deal that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) quickly snatched may be more difficult than she imagined. It may come with a greater cost as well. Will Phyllis be able to handle the demands put on her by Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John)?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Needing Help
When one is vulnerable and in the need of help, that can be the prime opportunity for the less scrupulous to step in and take advantage. Phyllis really needed help. She was on the run and was facing a lot of charges.
Phyllis faked her death and set up Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) to take the fall for the crime. When she tried to go “change her mind” and go back to her family, her partner Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) tried to kill her with scissors.
She fought back, killing him. She tried to dump the boy, rather than calling the authorities and claiming coercion and self-defense.
She wants to return to her children, but she doesn’t want to spend any time in prison. Phyllis says she wants to fix the bad things that she did, but she only wants to do that if it doesn’t mean that she is held accountable. That is too much for her to bear. She needs a way out.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Help At a Cost
Tucker McCall has a way out for Phyllis—sort of. He was the one who found the EMT Carson (Walter Belenky), who was an accomplice to the fake death situation. Carson is willing to testify that Jeremy was insane and dangerous. He can also be persuaded to say that he saw Phyllis kill Stark in self-defense.
For all of this, Phyllis has to help Tucker and his girlfriend Ashley Abbott by causing chaos for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane. They want her to get Jack to forgive her and cause Diane to flip out and go over the edge. They didn’t have a specific way they wanted her to do this, but obviously want her to have a plan already.
When Phyllis meets Tucker at Society, he wants to know the plan. He threatens to make Carson disappear so he can’t testify for Phyllis. She is stuck in a difficult position. She really wants her freedom, but is it going to be worth it?
Phyllis is going to cause more pain and turmoil and she was trying to get away from that. Is it possible for her to turn Tucker down, or will she do this? What do you think?
