‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggests that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is sick of everyone weighing in on his life. Instead of just leaving him to make his own decisions, he is getting a lot of advice.
He’d like everyone to back up and leave him alone. He is quite satisfied with how he is managing things and wants people to back off.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Friendly Concern from Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes)
Y&R’s Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) has been Kyle’s best friend for a long time. When he met and married Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), Mariah kind of struggled with it because she didn’t trust Summer.
Now that Summer has betrayed Kyle by keeping the secret that her mother Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is alive, Mairah is not completely surprised. Summer acted as Mariah expected she would, but she still feels sad for Kyle.
When Kyle says that he has left Jabot because Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) gave the Marchetti CEO job to Summer, Mariah is stunned. Kyle doesn’t seem that sad about it though, because he has another job lined up already at Newman Media.
Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) is sharing his bed and has offered him this job. Kyle thinks that Mariah should get out of Jabot too, since the Abbott family turmoil is escalating.
Mariah feels concern for Kyle and is wondering why he doesn’t seem to be more “cut up” about his losses. He seems to have resolutely moved on and she wonders if that is the best thing for him.
He is shoving his thoughts and feelings aside as he moves on to the new woman and the new role, and Mariah doesn’t believe that is his best decision.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Advice from Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters)
The other person who has the same concerns is Kyle’s mother, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). She feels so badly about the hurt and pain that Kyle has gone through. She knows that he did love Summer and his family. Diane feels that she needs to support him in some way.
He really doesn’t want to hear her suggestions, especially those centered around forgiving Summer. Diane is choosing to do that for herself, and Kyle can’t really understand that.
He also doesn’t really care about his relationship with Summer now, since he is finding fulfillment in the arms of another woman. His mother doesn’t know that and keeps trying to get him to think about taking Summer back.
Kyle just wants everyone to leave him be. He wants to do his thing and try these new exotic opportunities that are falling in his lap. What will everyone think when they know what he is up to these days?
