‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is probably going to need a pretty damn good lawyer soon.
Not only is she stuck in the middle of faking her own death to get Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) locked up, but she has also just murdered Jeremy Stark (James Hyde). Even if it was in self-defense, she is in the middle of a serious plot that would completely undo everything she has done.
Phyllis is in a very sticky place and has no one to fall back on. We thought she may reach out to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) or Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) in her time of need, but now we think it may be Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan).
The two of them became unlikely friends, and now, more than ever, Phyllis may need her to come to her rescue.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) Comes To Her Friend Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) Defense?
Once this gets out in the open, it will be a very confusing and troubling case. Not only has Phyllis killed Stark, and moved the body, but she was in the midst of committing another crime when this occurred.
I honestly do not see any way out for Phyllis this time and it will take some pretty incredible soap writing to get her way out of this one.
Amanda is the only person that Phyllis may even consider reaching out to and that would be bold enough to defend her. I can see how they would twist it and say that Phyllis was under the control of Stark and used to set up Diane, then he was going to kill her so she had to defend herself.
Of course, it is all a lie and there is no way to prove Phyllis wrong, so it may just work. Of course, then, Diane would be let out of jail and Phyllis’ plan would be completely ruined.
This will just lead to even more storylines about Phyllis going after Diane and the same, tired back and forth that has been going on for months.
What do you think? Could Phyllis reach out to Amanda for help and could there actually be a defense there for her to take? Let us know in the comments below.
