The Fundraising Event Descends into Chaos When a Tornado Hits
BTG and CBS have released a very juicy video promo to advertise the upcoming event. Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) will secure the funding he needs for the high-profile political fundraiser for Martin Richardson (Brandon Clybon), scheduled at the Fairmont Crest Country Club.
The event will descend into chaos when a tornado traps the characters. Interestingly, Victor Newman (Eric Braden) is the keynote speaker. Apparently, Victor and Vernon go way back as Victor has helped Vernon with his political endeavors in the past.

Shelia Ducksworth, executive producer of BTG, worked closely with Josh Griffith, the head writer of Y&R, and Brad Bell, B&B’s executive producer and head writer, to make all the magic happen.
Ducksworth said, “Y&R opened their doors to us and let us see, not just on paper, how we really do it? It was just incredible to have the opportunity to work together in that capacity.”
Shelia Ducksworth (Executive Producer of BTG) Said The Impact this Crossover Will Have Will Be Huge

The three soaps are all connected and have had some crossovers in the past, but nothing this big before, Ducksworth added.
“You’ve seen little kernels of stuff,”
She notes.
“We’ll talk about Forrester, and we’ll talk about different characters, and we’ve even had some of the characters come over in a smaller way for an episode, but you’re going to see a multi-episode display of the Newmans and the Abbotts and everybody on the show really intermingled with our Duprees, and it is going to be big, and I mean big.”
Ducksworth also pointed out that what happens during this crossover will have lasting implications for several characters on the Y&R and BTG canvases.

Martin will also have Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) at the fundraiser, as they apparently attended college together. Martin also invites his parents, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters), to the event.
Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) and Devon Winters (Bryton James) will also be on the VIP guest list, as Devon has a jaw-dropping career opportunity for Anita Duppree (Tamara Tunie).
“As the Evening Unfolds, Things Don’t Go as Planned”
Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman) and Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) will also be involved in much of the action.
Of course, true to soap fashion,
“As the evening unfolds, things don’t go as planned.”
Hayley Lawson (Marquita Goings) will kiss Kyle, while Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) and Dani share a terrifying moment.
Also, Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) arrives at the fundraiser, which shocks everyone. It will be fun to watch sparks fly in unlikely places and watch the warm reunions between the characters we have come to care about.
Ducksworth concluded,
“What happens in these episodes is so compelling, and then what happens as a result of what happens in these episodes is epic. That is all I can say. It is epic.”
Tune in for BTG’s “epic” crossover the week of June 8!
