Now this is the kind of good news that everyone wants to hear. The Wanted singer Tom Parker says that he is “over the moon” now that his brain tumor is stable and under control. In a heartfelt post, he also thanked his fans for all of their unconditional “love and support over the last 12 months.” Here’s what you need to know.

Back in October of 2020, Parker revealed that he has been diagnosed with an inoperable and terminal tumor. However, earlier this year he did say there was a “significant reduction” in the size of his tumor. He just recently shared an Instagram photo oh himself alongside his wife Kelsey and their two children, Aurelia and Bo.

He wrote, “I’m sat here with tears in my eyes as i tell you. We’ve got my brain tumour under control. We had the results from my latest scan…and I’m delighted to say it is STABLE. 😭😭😊😊Such a mix of emotions . We couldn’t ask for any more really at this point; a year or so in to this journey. Honestly over the moon. We can sleep a little easier tonight. Thank you for all your love and support over the last 12+ months. Love from Me,Kelsey, Aurelia & Bo.”

Many of his fans commented on his post with, “That is the greatest news ever. We know that you are going to get through this,” along with, “Upwards and onwards. I know that better days are ahead. You’ve got the love and support from all of your fans from all over the world.”

With that said, Parker did point out that although the tumour is “stable” it does not mean Parker is now cancer-free as he previously explained: “It’s stage four glioblastoma and they’ve said it’s terminal.”

The Wanted formed in 2009, with Parker, Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Nathan Sykes and Jay McGuiness.
