A lot of us were wondering about David Dobrik‘s pizza shop, Doughbrik’s, and wondered how the actual product measured up in comparison to other average pizza shops in the area and the reviews are in, it would seem that there are complaints about Doughbrik’s.
That being said, the complaints are pretty easily fixed but the fact of the matter is there are still complaints and the place is brand spankin’ new. It literally just opened not two weeks ago. That being said Dobrik originally opened it so that he and his friends could have a place to hang out and eat after hours, but is that really a realistic goal when your hours aren’t even the hours that were originally advertised?
The reviews are in – Doughbrik’s was not ready to open!
Originally, the shop was supposed to open every day around lunchtime but recently their new hours of operation switched to opening at 4PM instead. That’s great for the after school crowd, but the lunch in hour crowd is getting shafted, considering that most people have lunch at noon or at the latest 1PM every day, also Doughbrik’s is losing out on the lunch time rush money that most resteraunt would normally get.
Yes, they are open for dinner and for some late night meals but they close too early to be considered a late night eatery. Also it would seem that Dobrik is not present a lot of the time at the shop which is surprising considering that seems to be his main business venture right now.
There has also been some issue with the packaging. You would think that every pizza would come with the appropriate box and just how important that box would be considering it’s all about the brand for most influencers, but Doughbrik’s just has a generic pizza box, not one that has their name on it. Not even the drink cups has their name on it or any sort of specific branding.
Also, they are not selling whole pizzas at Doughbrik’s. You can buy up to 3 slices of any pizza that they already have out but they are not selling whole pizzas to individuals, which again, seems counterintuitive. It looks like this launch was pretty ill-planned, it’s nothing that isn’t fixable but perhaps they could start with selling entire pizzas. Stay tuned!!!
