Prince Harry and Meghan Markle lost popularity with Americans, but Britain first sounded the alarm.
The British Press Dubbed Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Hypocrites From The Start
The British press called out Meghan for several reasons. While initially, the UK was accused of “racism” when they wrote about Meghan, Americans have come to see the truth about her.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are hypocrites as they take private jets everywhere yet claim to be climate champions who are deeply concerned about environmental issues.
The British press rightfully called them out when they took three million dollars in public funds to renovate their home, Frogmore Cottage, while living in the UK.
Everyone, including Britain, was excited that a biracial young woman was joining the royal family and believed she would breathe fresh air into the monarchy.
Instead, Meghan and Harry’s relentless attacks on the royal family after stepping down as working royals in January 2020 demonstrated that they would just go scorched earth if they couldn’t have their way.
The US sees them for what they are now. Harry’s colossal “fall from grace” came when Oprah interviewed him and Meghan in March 2021, and Meghan infamously accused the royal family of racism.
Americans Know They Gave The Sussexes “Too Much Credit”
In the couple’s Netflix docuseries in December 2022, Meghan mocked the Queen. Harry’s tell-all memoir, “Spare,” which was published in January 2023, shared the sordid details of an altercation between Harry and Pince William, which was said to be about Meghan.

Not to mention, Harry vilified King Charles’s beloved wife, Queen Camilla. Royal author Ingrid Seward said, “I give a lot of talks to Americans, and they all dislike Harry and Meghan. They hate that they let the Queen down.”
According to another royal expert, Kinsey Schofield,
“People have lost interest in Harry and Meghan after realizing they had given them too much credit over the years.”
The couple has recently been appearing at events separately, which experts believe is a new PR strategy. They’ve stopped trashing the royal family and are now trying a different approach.
Meghan sparked criticism for appearing at a Children’s Hospital Los Angeles gala in a revealing red Carolina Herrera dress. She looked more like a tacky D-list actress rather than a Duchess.
Meghan appears to be keeping a low profile until she’s prepared to market American Riviera Orchard, which continues to be pushed back due to ongoing trademarking issues.
Since Meghan’s new lifestyle brand was announced, the public has received little or no information regarding products, but she has a suspiciously royal logo and a place to sign up for a “waitlist.”
“Polo” Is Garnering Horrendous Reviews
Their latest offering on Netflix is Harry’s show, “Polo,” So far, the reviews have been scathing and merciless. The Guardian claimed the series is “an unintentionally hilarious profile of the world’s stupidest sport.”
The Daily Mail’s Jane Fryer gave the show one star.
She called
“The ghastly world of the wealthy polo players’ flat, plodding, and really rather boring.”
Royal expert Angela Levin summed up Harry and Meghan’s unpopularity,
“I think the endless moaning puts off Americans because they like people who are go-getters rather than those who blame everyone else.”
“They also don’t like the attacks on the royal family, especially as they so loved and admired the Queen,”
Levin pointed out.
Harry and Meghan’s unpopularity with Americans was evident when they were parodied on “South Park” and “Family Guy.”

South Park poked fun at the Sussexes’ “Worldwide Privacy Tour.” The couple insisted that they wanted their privacy yet made the rounds through various media, exclaiming that their privacy was being invaded.
Family Guy made fun of Harry and Meghan making money by doing “no one knows what.” So, there’s a definite feeling that they have lost their appeal with the majority of the US.
The current opinion of Harry and Meghan is in stark contrast to the US’s decision to roll out the red carpet for their arrival in 2020. It seems that Britain had them pegged from the start.
