Mia Thornton, who is best known for being on ‘The Real Housewives of Potomac’ has confirmed that she has been diagnosed with cancer.

The news comes as a shock, given that there was nothing on the cards to suggest that anything like this was forthcoming. In addition, even though she has confirmed this news, Mia has remained very unclear on the exact nature of the diagnosis.
She has refused to say exactly what type of cancer it is, which is understandable given that the news is very fresh. And yet, she did go as far as stating that things were quite serious and that the worst was still to come.
In a post to her fans on Instagram, she shared a picture of herself at home. The post was captioned by the following comments: “The storm is not over but this experience is changing me.”
Despite that worrying news, Mia did manage to find some solace for the following reasons. First of all, there was clearly something wrong with her by virtue of the fact that she had been undergoing tests.
Therefore, she is now in a position to know what that is and can take steps to ensure that she can get better.
Secondly, in any event, she admitted that she had been freed from the worry that was previously occupying her, as she had to watch her husband Gordon Thornton feel anxious.
She stated: “You can only imagine the overwhelming amount of emotion…[my husband] and I endured trying to figure out why.
“However, even with such terrible news, I felt an extreme amount of peace and energy instilled that allowed me to remain strong.”
Hopefully, with the support of her husband by her side, Mia is able to overcome this. And the fans will be there to support her every step of the way to make sure that she is fine.
