A steadily increasing quantity of potentially hazardous individuals have been noticed by a police squad responsible for guarding high-profile figures and members of the royal family.

The Number Of Royal Stalkers And Those Arguing A Claim To The Throne Has Increased Since Queen Elizabeth II’s Death

It is reported that the Royalty and Specialist Protection (RaSP) team is keeping an eye on those who are considered to be stalkers as well as people who think they can the right to the throne after Queen Elizabeth II’s death.

During the last year, 170 single cases were reported to the Multi-Agency Fixated Threat Assessment Centre (FTAC) that oversees dangers to members of royalty, political leaders, and other distinguished people.
Out of these, 10 were labeled as the most serious threat, 117 posed a medium-level risk, and 43 were classified as low-level threats, based on facts revealed through the Freedom of Information Act.

This information arrives amid the upcoming Coronation of King Charles III that is set to take place on Saturday, 6th May 2023. And given what we have seen so far since Charles’ reign, there are things to be worried about.

The monarch has already been subjected to two egg-throwing incidents. Not only that, but with speculation that Prince Harry could attend the Coronation, there could be further security threats.

The Duke of Sussex’s memoir, Spare, has not helped matters since he spoke openly about killing 25 Taliban members, referring to them as chess pieces. And as this raised concerns of increased attacks towards British troops, there is plenty to keep the authorities occupied. After all, the figures clearly do the talking.

The amount of incidents documented in the period up to October 2022 was equal to the entirety of 2021, and an uptick from 2020, when there were 141 reports, according to the Metropolitan Police.

The number of most serious risks went up from five in 2020 to 10 in the previous two years. With that being said, security is of paramount importance. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
