Yikes. This has got to sting. While the British Royal Family have made it a tradition of theirs to wish each other a happy birthday on social media, they forgot to wish many happy returns to one of their own: Princess Beatrice. In fact, a lot of royal fans can’t help but wonder why the omission was made, seeing how the senior royals made an effort – albeit begrudgingly – to wish Meghan Markle a happy birthday earlier in the week. Here’s what you need to know.
Princess Beatrice celebrated her 33rd birthday on August 8th, but unfortunately she didn’t get even one shout out from anyone on social media, which includes her grandmother Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles or Prince William and Kate Middleton. However, her husband Edo Mapelli Mozzi did take to his Instagram account to wish his wife a very happy birthday.
The British Royal Family Forget To Wish Princess Beatrice A Happy Birthday
Of course, it didn’t take very long for eagle-eyed fans to notice that the royals did wish Beatrice’s sister Princess Eugenie a happy birthday back in March, but have totally forgotten about her. Many comments have included, “Still no ‘Happy Birthday’ wishes to Beatrice from Queen, Charles, William or even Eugenie??? What’s going on?”
Along with, “Adorable post from Edo to Princess Beatrice. Also, no love from @RoyalFamily but another certain non-working royal who is not a granddaughter of the monarch got a HBD post.”
Another critic pointed out, “They tweet about the one who left who isn’t a working royal but don’t post for the Queen’s granddaughter?? Shameful.”
So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter.
