“Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in autumn of this year,” read the announcement, which included a photo of them from their wedding day.
“The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”
A lot of people believe that this is Princess Beatrice’s way of getting back at Meghan Markle for announcing her own pregnancy at Princess Eugenie’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank back in October of 2018.
Meanwhile, it’s been reported that Beatrice has been waiting a long time to become a mother and is excited that she’s finally expecting. “Bea can’t wait to have kids of her own,” once source told Us Weekly last summer. “She’s planning to start a family with Edo very soon and is hoping it’ll happen this year.”
Luckily, Princess Beatrice has been getting all of the parenting practice that she can get as she is already an official stepmother to Edo’s 5-year-old son, Wolfie. Of course, she’s not the first stepmother in the royal family. Camilla Parker Bowles is also a step mom to Prince William and Prince Harry.
