Now, fueled by a feeling he has been purposely slighted, Zende is challenging RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman). Those efforts include making a play for Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada).

Viewers recall that Zende was Eric’s top pick after firing Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson). Eric had Zende collaborate, creating a Hope for the Future line.
Their efforts were received with a polite knock by the fashion press. It was a blow to Eric and Zende’s ego. However, that outcome did not appear to lead to Eric choosing RJ months later.
Proximity, not nepotism, was why Eric picked another grandson, RJ. That happened during the developing health crisis storyline. It led to Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke Logan’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) son becoming involved in completing what Eric called his last collection.

However, Zende continues to harp on Ridge, picking RJ to finish Eric’s work. Fans might have been surprised to learn that Eric’s line needed to be completed. Isn’t that what the Fashion Challenge included?
But, in keeping with the intensifying family conflict, Zende intends to make life hard for RJ.

Of course, adding betrayal into this soapy mix would elevate the drama. Rather than simply having Zende and RJ express hurt feelings or eventually come to physical blows, the potential of Luna betraying her boyfriend exists.
Luna has not expressed any romantic feelings about Zende or pursued him in any way. Zende is not falling in love with her but intends to use her as part of a revenge plot.
While RJ tried to see Zende’s point of view, he recently told de Metz’s character that he is done. Couple that with Zende’s lunch invitation to Luna, and more Forrester family turmoil is ahead on B&B.
