Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) did a great thing by allowing Eric Forrester (Jon McCook) to think he won their competition, and ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers think there’s a good chance this could backfire in a way.
Eric is as happy as ever and proved that he’s still the best, and it’ll give him reason to keep fighting and delay things in Ridge’s eyes. But there’s the potential problem where he could find out and that could crush him.
Good deeds rarely go unpunished, though this would be one that would be better off kept quiet and let Eric go into his fate.
On the flip side, Ridge isn’t ready to let Eric ride off into the sunset, so we expect him to keep trying to find some way to help his father, but he has to do it without Eric finding out, and that’s going to be the tough part.
‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers – Playing it cool
There’s no way ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers can imagine Ridge snooping around and making inquiries won’t get back to Eric unless he accepts what he’s been told and leaves it at that.
That’s another thing we don’t see him doing, but he may also realize that their final days together are the most important and he’ll want to do everything he can to help his father.
For Eric’s part, he’s bound to notice Ridge’s change and start wondering if Ridge knows or does he suspect something.
That could lead to someone, probably Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis), to come clean when Eric starts wondering to her about it.
She won’t want to, but when she does it’ll lead Eric to questioning if he won their contest.
‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers – The truth comes out
This is where we expect things to get interesting.
While Eric learning he lost and Ridge lied to him will be a heavy blow that’ll signal his time is over, he’ll also appreciate Ridge doing that to give him one last victory lap.
It’ll lead to him keeping that truth from Ridge, and while it’ll be one more secret Donna won’t like keeping but we think she will in this case.
At least, until after Eric is gone and she’ll share with Ridge about how happy he made Eric’s final days.
Things could play out completely different and Eric may even survive if he was misdiagnosed, and we’d love to see that.
