‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers indicates that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) is not happy. He is confronting John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) about his relationship with his biological mother, Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown). Will Ridge be able to bring Finn around?
‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: It’s Complicated
John “Finn” Finnegan was raised by Jack Finnegan (Ted King) and Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda). Finn’s father Jack had an affair with Sheila Carter. Li was made to raise Finn while Sheila was in prison. Finn didn’t know who his birth mother was until he got married to Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
Sheila hasn’t been a part of Finn’s life because she is a psychopath. She tried to shoot Steffy but Finn took the bullet instead. Then Sheila shot Steffy after putting a bullet in her own son. Sheila has a long rap sheet but manages to get away with her crimes. More than anything, Sheila really wants to have a relationship with Finn and with her grandson Hayes Finnegan (Alexander & Chase Banks).
‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: Strange Connection
Finn has vehemently stated that he wants nothing to do with his birth mother. When he was called to the prison to do her checkup to see if she was stable enough to stand trial, he didn’t want to do it. He wanted someone else to go in his stead. When there was no one else, he said he would never do it again.
However, when Finn went, Sheila expressed how glad she was to see him. Then she gave him a hug. He awkwardly put his arms around her because she was hugging him. Instead of pushing her away, he has a strange sense of connection. He says he has felt nothing like it before.
It happens again after the hearing where all charges against Sheila are dropped. They hug in the hallway and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) records it on his phone and shows it to Steffy. Steffy is furious and can’t understand it. The problem is, Finn can’t really explain it either.
‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: Confrontation
Ridge Forrester comes to the hospital to confront Finn. Steffy and the kids have moved out to her grandfather’s house for safety. Ridge demands to know what Finn is thinking and what he is doing. Why is he putting this connection with Sheila above the safety, security and happiness of his family?
Do you think that Ridge’s words will be enough to shake Finn up and help him sever his ties with Sheila? Will Ridge suggest that Finn attend counseling with Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) to uncover the reason for this need for connection with his birth mother? What do you think?
