The moment ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers have been expecting and dreading is here as Eric Forrester (John McCook) underwent emergency surgery, but it looks like he’s about to pass away.
To help drive the point home and make this a memorable and heart wrenching send off for Eric, Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) returned from the afterlife to guide him into the light.
It seems like a foregone conclusion that this is Eric’s final moments, and while it’s awesome to see Stephanie back, will he follow her?
There’s a chance Eric will hold on and survive, and if he does what will that mean for him and his family?

If Eric holds on and refuses to follow Stephanie, his life can be extended but it’ll open up a whole slew of storyline possibilities as he could face numerous health issues in the coming months or years.
More than that, it’ll create a divide in the family as Eric will be furious for Ridge Forrester (Thorston Kaye) for defying his wishes.
Add to that Ridge will feel guilty if Eric continues to suffer and forging new memories as a crippled, hurting shell of himself rather than the vibrant person Eric was.
It’s an ethical dilemma no one wants to face, and it’d be interesting to see how the show would handle that.
But what if Eric does die and go into the light?

Without Eric there to hold things together as the head of Forrester Creations, there’s plenty of potential fragmenting there as power struggles may ensue, but more than that, what about his will?
As of now, we don’t know what’s in it and what kind of ramifications it’ll hold. For instance, Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) and Eric were never officially considered married, unless ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers missed something.
Chances are Eric will have her named in the will and who will be overlooked to make sure she’s taken care of?
Wills are always fun areas for soap operas to explore and play with to ratchet up the drama as there’s nearly always at least one person that wants to contest it or try to claim a stake they don’t have a right to.
