‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers document that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) believes she deserves a relationship with her family. Viewers know that means her son, John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), and grandson, Hayes Forrester Finnegan (Alexander and Chase Banks).
A retrospective could be used at this point to review Finn’s initial joy when meeting his birth mother. That happened on his wedding day to Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
That was quickly followed by Finn and Sheila walking from the Forrester guest house to the mansion, where the wedding party was in effect.
Steffy’s reaction to seeing B&B’s Sheila Carter was fierce. So was the response of the gathered clan of Forresters and their friends. Finn was flabbergasted and tried to give his birth mother the benefit of the doubt until the incident behind Il Giardino.

Intending to kill someone’s wife is not a way to maintain trust. But Sheila went berserk that night in the alley behind Il Giardino after Steffy recklessly followed the Forrester’s long-time nemesis.
Finn was in phone contact with Steffy and rushed to the scene. He arrived as Sheila was pointing a gun at Steffy and pressed on the trigger. Finn took the bullet in his chest and fell dramatically onto a pile of garbage bags.
Steffy frantically attempted to call for an ambulance, and Sheila threatened her not to. Wood’s character proceeded, and Sheila pulled the trigger. She hit her initially intended target, with Steffy falling beside Finn.
Brown’s character left both people for dead, making the scene look like a robbery. Thankfully, Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) soon found them.

It took a while, but Finn learned what Sheila did. He cut her off and pledged never to allow his birth mother to have access to his family again.
Deacon’s love for Sheila was evidenced when he called upon an old friend for a favor. That friend, Judge Evan Scott (Michael Corbett), was assigned to Sheila’s criminal case and cleared her.
The above and Finn and Steffy bending to Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) pressure to not testify against Sheila resulted in a legal clear. The impossible happened, and Sheila was a threat again. Steffy first took the children and moved in with her grandfather, Eric Forrester (John McCook). She returned to the cliff house but soon left for Europe when Finn’s birth mother showed up unannounced.

Viewers know that Wood’s paternity leave created the need for Steffy to be temporarily written off to Europe. The actor, her fourth child, Valor James Ruspoli, her husband, Elan Ruspoli, and their other three children are all doing well. The character she plays returned in the fall.
Steffy’s demeanor change made fans cheer. They saw she cleared her head and would not allow Sheila to run her off.
No matter what Sheila assumes, Steffy is prepared to fight for her family. That projects drama for the Finnegan family on B&B.
