‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers find that it may have only been 23 episode in which Ann Douglas, portrayed by the late, great Betty White was featured. But those 23 episodes sure made an impact.

That is why Monday, January 17th’s episode will be dedicated to Betty, on what would have been her 100th birthday.

Between 2006 and 2009, Betty’s Ann Douglas wasn’t the most of beloved characters, a step outside of Betty’s usual wheel house who is typically portraying fan favorites on screen–especially when appearing as herself.

Ann Douglas on The Bold was a different story. First Ann denied to her daughter, Stephanie Forrester’s (Susan Flannery) face that Ann’s husband, Stephanie’s father, John Douglas abused his daughter as she grew up. Ann tried to dismiss Stephanie’s claims by saying she “misinterpreted’ and exaggerated her father’s discipline.

Later when Stephanie’s sister, Pamela Douglas (Alley Mills) backed her sister up, Ann finally caved and admitted she knew her husband was abusive toward their daughters but was too afraid to confront her husband.

While Stephanie finally forgave her mother, Ann and her daughter never had a typical loving mother-daughter relationship. In fact, Ann even told Eric Forrester (John McCook) he’d be better off married to Pam than Stephanie because Stephanie was so damaged.

The animosity in the family was finally resolved before Ann died on screen from pancreatic cancer. Both of her daughters were by her side when she took her last breath on the beach at Paradise Cove

While actress Susan Flannery passed away before her TV mom, John McCook and other Bold and Beautiful stars left tribute to Betty White when she passed away on December 31, 2021, 17 days shy of her 100th birthday.

Watch for The Bold and the Beautiful’s tribute as they dedicate Monday’s episode to the star who toughed the world’s heart when it  airs on CBS.
