As viewers recall, John Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) urged Liam to fly to Rome on a lark. Finn intended to help Liam support his wife. Selfishly, doing that also enabled Finn to keep Liam’s attention focused on Hope and from pestering Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).

Reaching for Hope to fill the mothering gap was manipulative. While Hope has proven to be an excellent mom to Douglas, the effect on Thomas has produced uneven results.
Wood’s character and many others are worried about what happens to Thomas and Hope if their burgeoning romantic connection flops or if it leads to marriage. The point she made to Thomas and Hope about their actions was important.

Douglas is a sharp boy who is a prodigy in some ways. One of them involves his insight into loved ones.
He knows that Thomas has loved Hope. But Douglas senses Hope’s feelings have developed, making a natural family structure possible.
But how will Hope react if she learns about Thomas’ actions on Mulholland Drive and what followed regarding the late Emma Barber (Nia Sioux)? Since this is daytime, it feels like when Hope learns, rather than if, is the approach plot point on B&B.
