‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers document that some romantic connections are unexplainable. But this is daytime, so the pairing between Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) is accepted by some viewers.
Many characters in this edition of Los Angeles, California, reject Hope’s decision to break from her husband. But that pales compared to nearly everyone being stunned by Hope beginning a relationship with Thomas.
Devoted fans recall that Thomas targeted Hope as a replacement mother for Caroline Spencer (Linsey Godfrey). While he sincerely wanted to help ease his son’s pain, Thomas used Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) to access Hope. His manipulations of her included withholding evidence about her daughter being alive.

Trusting someone is about instinct and proof. Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) instantly suspected that Thomas was after Hope, and his feeling was repeatedly reinforced.
But fans know Liam’s history of swapping Hope for Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) also informed him. Clifton’s character knew from experience that using others to achieve personal desires is possible.
Hope repeatedly told Liam the truth. He was the only man she loved; they would be okay no matter what Thomas did. But her love for Liam did not stop Thomas from his relentless interference in their marriage.

All Hope wanted was for Liam to trust her. She offered her unwavering support, even when Liam questioned her integrity.
The fashion event in Rome, Italy, was possible because Thomas was rehired as Hope for the Future’s lead designer. His designs created enormous buzz around the world and restored HFTF’s brand.
But Liam suspected that the future of his marriage was doomed if Hope allowed Thomas to be part of the Forrester Creations’ event in Rome. She refused to allow Liam to influence what she felt was a business decision. The rest is soapy history as her kisses with Thomas were witnessed at the Coliseum, and their marriage ended as soon as she returned home.

Hope couldn’t leave Liam and go to Thomas through the years. He was the man Hope and Liam jointly distrusted, and for many good reasons.
But Liam’s realized fears resulted in Hope seeing a new side of Thomas. She also sees Liam in a vastly different light. Thomas is devoted to her, while Liam’s fallback devotion is to Steffy.
Just coming out of her latest remarriage to Liam means Hope needs time to breathe. She still remembers all that Thomas did but is giving him a chance to prove he has changed.
It is reasonable to believe this controversial couple will at least be engaged, if not married, in the New Year. Liam will then be in the saboteur’s position on B&B.
