‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers show that while everyone is in the midst of celebrating Brooke Logan’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Taylor Hayes’ (Krista Allen) recent separation from Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), we have to wonder at the same time… what in the hell took so long?
While I am as happy as the next viewer that they finally wised up and realized that this back-and-forth relationship was terrible for them, they are both (mature) adults, yet they are acting like a bunch of high school girls who just realized that they don’t need to be in a relationship to be happy.

‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ Spoilers: Happiness Or Pathetic? Why Did It Take This Long For Them To Leave Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye)?
Don’t get me wrong, I like the show, but the biggest thing that annoys me is how these mature-aged adults act like high school kids. I understand that it is a soap opera, but isn’t there any kind of standard? Surely, they haven’t always acted like spoiled prep school brats?
I could be way off base with this thought, but did they finally cross an emotional threshold that people usually discover in their 20s? Everyone does it at their own time I suppose, and thankfully they did eventually, I just don’t hope the writers go back and retcon this. This might be one of the biggest moments in B&B history (sadly) and to put one of them back with Ridge would completely erase one of the most important storylines for both of these characters.
Let’s see if they have what it takes to stand by their decision, but something in the pit of my stomach tells me that this is not going to last long.
