On Monday’s episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Brooke Logan and Katie Logan finally found some common ground after their explosive confrontation last week. Following Friday’s shocking slap, the sisters shared an emotional conversation, exchanged apologies, and appeared ready to move forward.
But while Brooke may have been focused on repairing their fractured relationship, Katie may have been thinking several steps ahead.
By the end of the conversation, Brooke had agreed to a deal that could have major consequences once Hope’s secret involvement with Logan Designs is finally exposed.
Brooke Wanted Peace After Their Ugly Fight

The tension between Brooke and Katie has been building ever since Logan Designs emerged as a legitimate rival to Forrester Creations. What started as a business disagreement quickly became personal, culminating in Friday’s confrontation when Brooke accused Katie of being jealous of her and using Logan Designs to compete against her.
The argument spiraled out of control and ended with Brooke slapping her sister.

Monday’s episode picked up with both women still dealing with the fallout. Katie reminded Brooke that their mother and late brother Storm would be devastated to see them tearing each other apart. Eventually, Brooke admitted she was wrong for hitting her sister and apologized.
For a moment, it seemed like the sisters had finally found their way back to each other.
Katie’s Proposal Sounded Innocent Enough

As their conversation shifted back to business, Katie pointed out that there are now two fashion dynasties competing in Los Angeles. Brooke has aligned herself with the Forresters, while Katie has built Logan Designs alongside the Spencers.

Katie then suggested that Brooke could hire any Forrester she wanted, while Logan Designs could hire any Spencer it wanted.

Brooke agreed without hesitation.
On the surface, it sounded like a harmless attempt to prevent future arguments over employees and business alliances. However, the more you think about it, the more complicated that agreement becomes.
Because Katie wasn’t just talking about Bill Spencer, Liam Spencer, Wyatt Spencer, or even Will Spencer.
She was taking about Hope.
Hope Is Exactly The Kind Of Loophole Brooke Didn’t Consider

Hope occupies a unique place in this family war.
She is Brooke’s daughter. She is a Logan. But she is also connected to the Spencer family and remains Hope Logan Spencer.

Unknown to Brooke, Hope has already aligned herself with Logan Designs. Rather than remaining firmly in her mother’s corner, she has secretly become part of Katie’s growing operation. Last week, she even helped bring Deke into the fold as Logan Designs continued expanding its roster.
That’s what makes Monday’s handshake so fascinating.
Brooke likely viewed the agreement as a discussion about the Spencer men in the family. Katie viewed it very differently. If Hope is considered fair game under the terms Brooke just accepted, then Katie effectively secured Brooke’s approval for a move that has already happened.
Brooke May Have Created A Problem For Herself
Brooke walked away from the conversation believing she had ended a feud with her sister. She apologized for the slap, agreed to support Katie’s success, and thought they had finally established some boundaries.
The problem is that those boundaries may not work in Brooke’s favor.
When the truth about Hope’s role at Logan Designs finally comes out, Brooke is almost certain to feel blindsided. Not only will she discover that her daughter has been keeping secrets from her, but she’ll also have to face the fact that she may have unknowingly signed off on the very arrangement that allowed it to happen.
After weeks of battling over Logan Designs, Brooke thought Monday was about making peace.
Katie may have been making sure that when Hope’s secret is finally revealed, she’ll have one very important handshake to point back to.
