‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers find that audiences will never be able to look at a squeezy bottle of honey in the same way thanks to Friday’s episode.
Just when we thought it was safe to start watching Eric’s scenes again, with the Eric/Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer)/Carter Walton (Lawrence St. Victor) love triangle over and everyone treating Eric’s ED like normal humans, The Bold writers have decided to scar us all once more.
This time it’s with Donna, a bottle of honey and a building score culminating in a barely veiled crescendo that may as well have been Pamela Douglas (Alley Mills) screaming from the top of her lungs “Eric has a boner!”
‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: Eric Forrester (John McCook) Gets a “Rise” out of Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis)
To get you UP to speed, the episode played out like this: Eric overheard Donna and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) discussing that Donna has never gotten over her “Honey Bear” ex-husband. Brooke very eagerly left her sister and (also her ex-husband, but we’ll skip over that) Eric to discuss Donna’s feelings, hoping to edge current wife, Quinn away from Eric.
Meanwhile Pam and Charlie Webber (Dick Christie) uncovered a stash of honey in Donna’s desk, an ode to Eric that Donna likes to keep on hand- and in her purse.
As Donna lets Eric know all of her lingering feelings, and before you can say ask, “Is that honey in your purse, or are you just happy to see me?”, Donna is licking honey off her fingers and explaining to her one true love, “When I’m missing you…I, uh…I do this.”
Well, of course, Eric instantly forgets the wife he’s been fighting for tooth and nail for the last many weeks and begins to also suck the honey from Donna’s fingers.
Much to Donna’s glee, she realizes by the look of astonishment and delight in Eric’s face that he is remembering a sensation from long ago.
“You’re remembering!” Donna gasps
He sure is, but as the horn section gets rowdier and rowdier in the climaxing music, we all realize it’s not the love he once felt for Donna that has Eric looking like a child on Christmas morning finally being allowed to unwarp a present. And no, it’s not that he hasn’t tasted honey in a while either…well, unless you are going for the euphemism.
“I’m more than remembering,” Eric assures Donna,
Yep- people get paid to write this stuff.
This turn of events, that Donna can cure Eric of his ED was not a surprise, with Daily Soap Dish suggesting the storyline weeks ago- and we still wonder now what we asked then- will Quinn grant Eric a hall pass for Donna so that he may be “satisfied” as Eric did for Quinn and Carter.
We highly doubt it.
