‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers suggests that Eric Forrester (John McCook) is struggling with the aging process. He feels like he is being shut of his design company and to prove that he still “has it”, he wants to compete against his son. Who will come out on top in the design battle?
‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: Grumpy Old Man
Eric seems rather grouchy these days. He is tired of being overlooked at his own company. He feels out of the loop, and he feels that people walk all over him. They aren’t respectful of his space or the fact that he started Forrester Creations.
In an effort to prove himself as a force to still be reckoned with, he wants to put out his own line. He is struggling however with drawing. His arthritis is too bad for him to take up the pencil himself and get the designs completed.
Eric convinced his grandson, RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) to be his hands. RJ can draw as Eric explains his vision to him. Previously RJ balked at designing. When Ridge wanted him to take out a pencil and give it a shot, RJ said he preferred to keep up with his media influencer work. He wasn’t interested.
Now however, his grandfather needs him. RJ is willing to step in and give it a try in order to help his grandfather. So far, everyone has been impressed with RJ’s skill and talent.
‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: Competition
From a business standpoint, it is not the best time to launch a new line. Forrester Creations already had the Hope for the Future line that is doing very well since the Rome trip. Ridge also has a line in process. It’s not the best time to launch another with the resources they have.
Ridge tries to dissuade Eric from launching his own line. He suggests instead that Eric merge his line into Ridge’s line. But that just ends up making Eric really angry. Again, he feels like decisions are not made without his leadership and he is having a hard time letting go of the company he built. Eric feels angry and upset by his son’s response to his plan.
Ridge acquiesces and suggests that the buyers will decide which designs they like the most, Ridge’s or Eric’s. What do you think about this competition? Is it a good idea? Or will it cause more family dissension? Is Ridge honoring his father in the best way through this?
