Ashley Hebert has praised her ex-husband JP Rosenbaum for putting their children first in the aftermath of the duo’s split.

The pair, who had been married for eight years, decided to call it quits at the back end of last year. Although differences within their relationship could not be resolved, the love for their children always remained. That is why Ashley continues to share a strong bond with JP. In a post to her fans on Instagram, Ashley shared a picture of the children enjoying a fun day out under the care of JP.
The post was captioned by the following comments: “I can always count on @_jprosenbaum to take the kids out on adventures together filled with fun activities. Thank you! Grateful.” So what made the two decide to call it quits? After all, everything seemed fine on the surface. And yet, it was simply a case of two people from different worlds trying to reconcile their different outlooks.
While there was no clear animosity towards each other, they recognised that they wanted to keep their children in a happy and stable environment. In a statement posted at the time of the split, the duo said: “We’ve decided that it is in our family’s best interest to create new and separate lives for our children…Our ultimate focus is to create stable and healthy lives for our children.
“Thank you for your love and support throughout the years.” Ashley and JP have lived up to those words. They remain on very good terms and continue to spend time with the children together during the various holidays. This was most visible when they got together during last year’s Halloween. Not only that, Ashley went a step further by referring to JP as her best friend.
In a previous post to her fans on Instagram, Ashley said: “Too cool for school, too cool for school! Best friends forever.” It is a shame that they could not stay together, but if it was for the sake of their kids, then it is just as well that they walked away. It is great to see the family doing well.
