Telemundo Operación Pacífico spoilers for March 6th indicate Ernesto Vargas (Christian Tappan) was put to the test. This week, he was invited to Mexico by Rodolfo “El Guapo” Espinosa Roldán (Julio Bracho), through a supposed police request for help in their police force’s fight against drugs. Obviously, it wasn’t really meant to be a true help mission. But Friday’s events put a whole new spin on things, and we are left to wonder if Vargas will pass that test. Here’s what you need to know.

Telemundo Operación Pacífico Spoilers: The test

It seems El Guapo doesn’t play around when testing loyalty. Operación Pacífico spoilers reveal he had Vargas taken by a group of masked employees, then driven out into the desert while blindfolded so he had no idea where he was going. Vargas woke up on the ground looking like he’d been passed out in the sun for quite a while. We watched as he struggled to get his senses back and figure out what to do. To his credit, he figured right away he was being tested. He showed a lot of determination to live up to expectations, and obvious skills from his military training. One doesn’t get to be a Major in a militarized police force without some heavy training, after all. But here’s what was the best part of the whole thing.

Telemundo Operación Pacífico Spoilers: Why we love it

Unfortunately for Vargas, the real test was cunning on El Guapo’s part and we think he’s the best of the narco villains in terms of weeding out people because of this. He clearly knew Vargas would find his way to a road eventually, and he’d likely be tired and desperate by then. As such, he “happened” to be driving down that same road to pick Vargas up. It turned into a situation where Vargas had to explain himself and why he was there to be saved.

But we also liked the actual journey, too, because Vargas kept hallucinating his cleaned-up self throughout the journey. It showed his mental state and the doubts starting to form. It was awesome to see the actor play this out. But, will the character ultimately pass?

Telemundo Operación Pacífico Spoilers: What will happen?

Our bets are mixed. Operación Pacífico spoilers hint that desperation makes a man do stupid things. We think that’s what El Guapo is counting on. And we have a slight doubt as to whether Vargas will keep quiet about the real situation. He seems the type who’s out for #1, and if it’s down to his survival, or Guapo there is every chance he’ll turn. If he does, Guapo will kill him on the spot.

However, we also saw how conscious he was of being tested earlier. We wouldn’t be surprised to see him lie to protect Guapo without realizing he’s talking to Guapo himself. This will help him level up in the evil ranks, for sure. What option will he take? Tune in Monday to find out.
