Telemundo Operación Pacífico spoilers indicate there’s more frustration for our covert team. As they come so close to Mr. M’s (Jorge Enrique Abello) capture, another obstacle is thrown in their way. Even with Álvaro López (Ernesto Benjumea) finally able to make a pre-emptive move, this team can’t seem to catch a break. Here’s what you need to know, and what we might expect from the show now.

Telemundo Operación Pacífico Spoilers: You win some

The team had a couple of near-wins on Monday, March 2nd. First of all, they managed to track down where Maunel Mejía Montes, aka: Mr. M (Abello) hid. The team raced to get there before any of the bad guys could get to him. They had a little assist, however. A money-hungry guy who wanted the reward was the one to clue them in. Then, there was the other thing.

They knew someone was a traitor. Operación Pacífco spoilers indicate they believe it’s Ernesto Vargas (Christian Tappan). Things add up, but they haven’t found proof. Until Monday. The team got enough pictures of him getting into the same elevator as Mr. M, for one. There was also the fact M’s lawyer, De Castro (Toto Vega) was caught in a suspicious situation. They brought the info to López, who didn’t hesitate to act on it. He suspended Vargas immediately and demanded he turn in his gun and badge. But, with every victory comes loss.

Unfortunately, their actions weren’t fast enough. Vargas managed to get to M’s wife and child before M could turn himself in. He then called his former partner in crime and forced him to commit suicide if he wanted his family to live. M had his doubts about this, but when you’re backed into a corner like he was, you do desperate things. He knew the cops were on their way up, so he did as told. The team just lost their link to their true objective.

Making matters worse, they also lost De Castro in a car wreck. Plus, other members of the team later discovered the bodies of M’s wife and daughter where he’d been hiding out. It seems Vargas didn’t want to risk leaving anyone behind that could speak against him. So, they’re right back where they started. Sort of.

Telemundo Operación Pacífico Spoilers: What’s next?

Since López is now wise to Vargas and suspended him, Vargas won’t have the same power he used to. He can’t be on the inside anymore, sabotaging ever move they make. This should make following up on whatever leads they get easier. They have a surprise waiting, however. Operación Pacífco spoilers reveal Vargas’ work in getting rid of so many witnesses impressed Rodolfo “El Guapo” Espinosa Roldán (Julio Bracho). Vargas has been offered the chance to go to Mexico, and we expect him to take it in a second. It’s too hot at home. While he can’t mess directly with the investigation, expect him to still cause some trouble. He’ll still know their procedures and their next likely moves. Vargas will use that in a second to help Guapo anticipate what’s coming next.
