It’s entirely possible that a painful death is in the cards. We saw in Sin Miedo a la Verdad the bad guys don’t always keep their word. Because they’re, you know, evil. So, we could see them betraying Paula even if she does everything they said. But what if Valeria does survive?

We thing there’s a good chance she’ll be scared off by this. Operación Pacífico spoilers reveal that very few characters are lucky in love on this show. Just look at Amalia Ortega (Majida Issa). Her husband’s a cheater who hires prostitutes. Or Gabriel Pedraza (Mark Tacher). Guadalupe “Lupe” Romero (Cynthia Alesco) dumped him, and now suddenly acts like she has some claim to him now that he’s back in their country. He would rather have Amalia now, but Amalia told him this isn’t a good idea on Friday. And let’s not even get into the dysfunction that is Mariana Ortega (Johanna Fadul) and Wilson (José Restrepo).
Given all that, we don’t expect Paula to be any luckier. We expect, assuming a rescue is successful and Paula is safe as well, Valeria might rethink things. It’s one thing to know a love interest has a dangerous gig. It’s a whole other thing to be on the wrong side of said love’s dangerous work. This is especially true when just starting out, and you’re not even sure what you are to each other yet. She might decide a quiet life with an accountant or something is much more preferable.
