Christine Quinn was reportedly not invited to attend the MTV Movie & TV Awards after speaking out against the producers of ‘Selling Sunset.’

Christine, for her part, has not held back on what she thought about one particular producer: Adam DiVello. So much so that she recalled an incident in which he had allegedly told her to go and kill herself.

Not only that, but she also claimed that Adam had received numerous complaints about this behaviour from other people. In some prior comments at the time, Christine remarked: “There’s been complaints filed against him. Multiple complaints … and it’s been sick.

“He actually told me to go fall down the stairs and kill myself.” With that being said, Christine’s appearance could have led to some fireworks. And yet, by not having Christine there, she missed out on seeing the show achieve great success.

The show ended up walking away with the Best Docu-Reality Series award. Therefore, Christine had to sit by and watch from afar while the other cast members were able to celebrate. But it appears that the show thought this was best.

A source said: “This decision didn’t come from MTV. It came from Netflix/production. My guess is that they knew in advance that ‘Selling Sunset’ was going to win, hence why Adam [DiVello] was in attendance, and it made it less sticky of a situation to not have Christine present.”

Despite that being the case, other sources have reported to the contrary. They stressed that Christine’s name was never under consideration for attendance. In addition, Adam had no part to play in the decision to not have Christine attend.

Christine has yet to respond to these claims, which is understandable given the negative media scrutiny that it would generate. But as the awards are now over, she can know that she played a part in making the show a hit even if she was not there to witness the success.
