Sarah Ferguson has come out and revealed that she has suffered the most ‘persecution’ in the Royal family.
Sarah Ferguson Claims To Be ‘The Most Persecuted Woman In The History Of The Royal Family’
Sarah’s personal life has not done her any favours, given the scandals that she has been involved in. She had infamously been pictured with the toes of another man in her mouth during the time that she was married to Prince Andrew.
In addition, it is also alleged that she had taken money in exchange to allow people to access Andrew during the time of their marriage. Nevertheless, she has continued to stand her ground after everything she has been through.
During an interview with Madame Figaro magazine, she said: “I was maybe the most persecuted woman in the history of the Royal family, but I’m still here. The bruised reed that doesn’t break is in my DNA.”
Just when you thought that was bad enough, Sarah’s personal relationships have also gotten her into trouble. None more so than with Andrew, who has been embroiled in a sex abuse scandal.
According to reports, Virginia Giuffre claimed that she had been abused by Andrew as part of the whole Jeffrey Epstein scandal.
Although an investigation is currently being held in order to determine whether or not Andrew will be held liable, Sarah has her support behind him. This is partly the reason why she may have been targeted for criticism.
She added: “I loved him, and I still love him today. I will stay by his side because I believe in him. He is a good man.”
Having said that, though, her relationship with the Royal family has become a lot better. She was previously an outcast, as shown by the fact that she was not invited to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding.
But given that she was allowed to come to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding, this illustrated that Sarah has been viewed in a much more positive light.
A source told Vanity Fair the following: “Sarah wasn’t invited for years [to Royal functions] after she and Prince Andrew separated, but she’s back on the invited list.”
