British Royal Family News says that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are indeed planning a trip back to the UK. But unfortunately, it’s not anytime soon. Many royal critics were wondering if and when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would ever return to London, seeing how they’ve packed their bags and started a new life for themselves in Los Angeles. Here’s what you need to know.

According to authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, who co-wrote the book, Finding Freedom: Harry, Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family, Harry and Meghan plan to return to the UK to do charity work.

In fact, the couple are apparently in a very ‘forward-focused’ and good place in their lives right now. But because of the ongoing pandemic that has been the coronavirus, Harry and Meghan might not make it back to London until at least 2021.

Scobie told Royal Central in an interview this week that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle still plan to do just as much charity work in the UK as they will in their new home state of California. In fact, Scobie says that Prince Harry in particular would  “love to get out there and be active in the field.”

“Harry and Meghan have made it clear that their work in the U.K., including their royal patronages, will continue,” he explained to the outlet. “While their base will be in the U.S., I think once travel restrictions ease we will see them moving around again and undertaking trips to the U.K., both privately and professionally.”

“A lot of the work they already started, including all four of Meghan’s patronages, are right here on British soil,” he added.

With that said though, Scobie doesn’t believe that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will ever return to Britain on a full-time basis. Instead, they want to focus on planting their family roots in Southern California. “It’s safe to say that this is a couple who are very much forward-focused and are clearly in a good place,” he said.
