‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’ spoilers find that star Margaret Josephs says that while there certainly are a lot of people who like to day drink (and evening drink and of course, “all night” drink) on the franchise.
She’s one who doesn’t need to have a cocktail in order to have a good time. But Margaret did reveal the reason why so many housewives drink so much. Here’s what she has to say.
Speaking to Page Six in a new interview, the blonde beauty put it this way, “I think a lot of people don’t like to eat on camera unlike me. I think it’s easier to have a drink on camera than constantly have food in your mouth.
If you have a drink in your hand it looks more sophisticated. People don’t like to eat on camera and if you’re drinking and not eating, obviously it’s much easier to get drunk.”

Yet Margaret says that one of the reasons why she stays away from the bar was because of her own mother’s unhealthy relationship with alcohol.
“I went in the exact opposite direction,” she explained. “You really go either way but it was very frightening to me so I did vow as I grew up I’m never going to drink in front of my children. It’s not like I’ve never had a drink but I don’t like to feel out of control and you can still be the life of the party and not drink.”
Of course, it didn’t take long at all for RHONJ fans to weigh in on the matter.
Many commented with, “There have been several posts about the Housewives excessive drinking, and who is backing off. Maybe they or Bravo is getting a clue that constant drunken raging isn’t all that entertaining,” along with, “Good for her for telling the truth. I like Margaret. She reminds me of a couple of stylists I worked for in New York when I was young. I think it might be the accent.”
