Meghan King has confirmed how delighted she was to finally get her divorce with Jim Edmonds over the line.

The duo decided to part ways in 2019 following their 5-year marriage, during which they had brought up three kids: Aspen, Hart and Hayes. Their relationship was no longer tenable after Meghan accused Jim of having an affair with their children’s nanny. Jim would ultimately deny that anything had gone on, but it was not enough to prevent the family from falling apart.
During an interview with Us Weekly, Meghan revealed how she was happy to finally draw a line in the sand. She said: “It feels good to put that behind me and just look to the future. I want to spend my life with a partner…I’m really hoping to settle down and find that partner.”
But the road, to getting the divorce finalised, was not so easy. Child support began to create further divisions, as Meghan claimed that Jim was not providing enough to ensure that the kids were being looked after. Jim’s lawyers, though, felt that the star had done more than what he was required to do.
In addition, Jim attempted to gain full custody of their children after he disapproved of Meghan’s lack of involvement in their co-parenting arrangements. Sources confirmed the discontent that Jim was feeling: “There have been numerous times when Jim has brought the kids to Meghan for her custodial week only to find out she is out of town and he has to leave them with Meghan’s nanny.”
Meghan was also criticised by a subset of people for using her kids, in the divorce settlement, in an attempt to garner more leverage in any potential custodial arrangements. But with everything now finalised, she can look forward to her future. Her relationships after Jim have not been easy though.
She hooked up with Christian Schauf, only for them to part ways after around six months. However, her relationship with Will Roos may prove fruitful. We wish Meghan and Jim the best for their future. And let us hope that they can both move on to better things.
