Dolores Catania has revealed how Joe Gorga is struggling to cope with his wife Melissa Gorga’s newfound independence.

‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’: Dolores Catania Gives Her Take On Joe And Melissa Gorga’s Marriage

The stars of the Real Housewives of New Jersey have always faced a mixed reaction to their marriage. Although they have been married since 2004, alongside with the kids that they share, it seems their priorities are beginning to conflict. Joe has always been an ardent believer in a traditional marriage, with more emphasis on his children.

Melissa, though, is looking to expand on her brand with the hope of dabbling into further business opportunities. In an interview with Us Weekly, Dolores spoke on how Joe may be feeling a little insecure. She said: “They’re going through something where she’s growing, and he’s afraid of losing the traditional marriage.

“[He’s] not, once he realizes that even letting her grow isn’t going to change the love that they have for each other.” So how real are their marital problems? Well, there is no danger that they are going to be breaking up anytime soon. Melissa is currently busy filming the new Real Housewives crossover in Turks and Caicos.

Whether by accident or design, it has given the couple some much-needed space in order to work out precisely what they want from their respective futures. This is only natural, and Dolores has backed them to get through any difficulties. She added: “I think they’re secure. I think that they’re ok. They’ll be fine. It was hard to see, but I always had a lot of faith that they would get through it.”

The main issue seems to be that Joe is very adamant about what he wants. This has seen him butt heads with other members of The Real Housewives cast, including Dolores. The duo had recently gotten into a passionate discussion on Dolores’ time with David Principe. Joe had questioned why Dolores did not enter into marriage with David and allow him to take charge of their relationship.

Dolores has no desire to do so, especially since she had to deal with infidelity during her previous relationship with Frank Catania. And these viewpoints are standing in the way of Joe understanding Melissa too. She continued: “He can’t understand why somebody would want that [more freedom]. It’s still a sign of love.”
