The pair decided to break up after around two years of being married. This was a shock to say the least since the filing for the divorce occurred just shortly after they celebrated their second wedding anniversary.
While there were allegations of infidelity on Mike’s part, Cynthia denied that anything of the sort had happened. Instead, it appears that the spark fizzled out which is why they knew it was time to part ways.
In an interview on the “Two T’s in a Pod” podcast, she said: “I felt like we weren’t friends anymore. I felt like it was just going toward we’re just not going to be friends if we didn’t pump the brakes…I think friendship just has to be there in a marriage.”
But that was not the only reason for the split, though. It turns out that her decision to move to California in order to be with Mike played a part. This was particularly since traveling caught up with her.
In addition, the fact that neither side appears to have regretted the split only goes on to validate the notion that this was the right decision in the first place. Her following comments confirmed as much: “I think there was some incompatibility.
“We’ve always been, for the most part, in a long-distance relationship and that’s not easy.” The fans on social media felt that this was the right decision. They had ultimately reached a point where neither side was going to budge in their outlook. One person wrote: “When you right, you right.”
Hopefully, moving forward, the pair are able to move forward on to better things. And that is the most important thing to remember since there is still time for both to settle down.
